The animal welfare society of Miami, Oklahoma takes the unclaimed animals of the Miami animal shelter and opens the doors
every Thursday for adoption. We give them their shots, worm and deflea if necessary. We mainly have dogs and cats but we do
sometimes get in bunnies, ferrets, reptiles, goats and anything else surrendered. Each animal is up for adoption for a low
price most always under $50.
Our Mission
To work with the city of Miami, the Animal Control Officer, and area Veterinarians to provide spay and
neuter services to the public at an affordable cost, to reduce the number of stray and abandoned animals by offering low cost
adoption opportunities, and to educate the public about humane treatment and resposible health care of animals.

| Featured Dog |
Breed: Labrador Retriever [Mix]
Sex: Female
Age: Adult
Size: Large
Molly is a 3 or 4 year old female Chocolate Lab. She likes everyone and gets along fine with other dogs. We don't know
how she is with cats yet. She has lots of energy and is always ready for a game of fetch. She will be a great family dog for
someone with a large yard or in the country, where she has room to run.

| Featured Cat |
Breed: Domestic Long Hair-black and white [Mix]
Sex: Female
Age: Young
Size: Small
Poor chopper was brought to us by an owner who couldn't stand all the cat hair. In fact, she hated it so much she had taken
scissors and cut as much of the poor kitty's hair off as she could. Thus, her new name, "Chopper". She was only about 6 months
old, and has been in foster care while her hair had time to grow back. She is about 8 months old now, and is beginning to
be beautiful again. She loves to be held and petted, and gets along with other cats. She loves kittens, and tries to adopt
them as her own. Chopper needs someone who will appreciate her beauty and won't mind grooming her regularly to control her
long hair.
